Type NP glass, also referred to as non-parenteral glass, is a type of soda-lime glass specifically designed for packaging non-parenteral products. This glass is suitable for packaging items that do not require strict chemical resistance, such as certain oral and topical pharmaceuticals, food, and cosmetic products. Type NP glass offers an economical and practical solution for products that do not need the high-level protection provided by Type I or Type II glass. Its primary advantage is its versatility and cost-effectiveness in packaging a wide range of non-critical applications.
