Recessed Panel

A recessed panel is a container design feature where a section of the container’s surface is indented or set back from the surrounding area. This indentation can serve various purposes, including providing a space for labels, enhancing the container’s structural integrity, or improving its aesthetic appeal. The recessed area can help protect labels from damage and wear during handling and transportation, ensuring that important information remains visible and intact. Recessed panels are commonly found on bottles, jars, and other types of packaging containers.
